Some people are meant to leave. Some people are meant to break you down completely, just so you can build yourself back up again. Some people are meant to completely change your perspective on things; whether it be negative or positive. They come into your life disguised as a solution to all your problems and leave you with new ones that you, yourself must learn to solve on your own. Often times they break your spirits and sometimes even your heart, but even though you may not be able to see it at the moment, or maybe for the next year or so, they cause you to grow. Now we all know that when things break they are never put back together the same way they once were; no matter how hard some may try there will still be cracks and pieces in the wrong places, but don’t worry don’t stress new friendships will form to fill those spaces for good and old friends will put some of those pieces back in their rightful places. And as for the rest? That you must do all on your own. All alone, because no one but yourself can really know when your healed. You will break down in your car when you hear that one song, you will avoid places you once loved because they might be there, you will make promises to never love again, and sometimes you will even reach out to them again only to be put right back where you started. Then the day will come where they are no where near crossing you mind. The memories are still there, but there is in the past and today is right here right now and so are you. But not just any you, the new you. The you who knows who she is, the you who loves wholeheartedly and without bias, the you who sees the silver lining, the you who is, as you rightfully should be, happy.
So yes, some people are meant to leave. Because without it nobody would ever really appreciate the true meaning of being happy..
